Ravens Purpletini

Are you looking for a purple drink for the Baltimore Ravens football, or for a wedding or event? Then look no further than the Ravens Purpletini!

My husband and I are huge Baltimore Raven's fans, and since I'm a big fan of the color purple in general, it only makes sense that we had to perfect a purple drink recipe!

Please note that this drink recipe is for two drinks per batch. While I'm sure that you could use your math and create a big pitcher of it, if you are looking for a party-size serving, I highly suggest you try this purple punch.

You will need:

  • A shaker (if not, you will have to guess your measurements)
  • Three ounces of vodka
  • 2-3 ounces of cranberry juice
  • 1 ounce of sour mix
  • 1 ounce of lemon-lime soda
  • 1 ounce of Blue Curacao
Shake. Pour. Enjoy!

Purple Yucca

For the Raven's Superbowl, we were in search of all things purple, including purple drinks. We decided to make a party-friendly punch, and used our basic knowledge of colors to turn a traditionally pink-hued Yucca into a Ravens-spirited beverage.

The Yucca recipe is fairly simple. You will need:

  • A large punch bowl or medium sized cooler (clean or disposable)
  • 12 lemons
  • Carton of strawberries (size is not particularly important)
  • Handle of vodka of your choice
  • Carton or bottle of pink lemonade
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • Bag of ice
  • Pinch of love
For a purple Yucca, you will need to add:

  • Handle of blue vodka or liquor (we used UV Blue Raspberry vodka)
Because the Yucca is a fairly strong punch, and the traditional recipe calls for an entire handle of vodka, we used half of the handle of regular clear vodka to start.

To make the Yucca, wash all of your fruit. Slice the lemons in half, squeeze the juice into the punch bowl and  toss the lemon in. Slice up your strawberries and add them to the recipe as well. Add your ice, lemonade, sugar, and vodka, and stir. You may need to play around with your colors a bit to the exact purple color that you are looking for, so start by adding half of the blue vodka, and add more as needed.

To allow the ice to melt, you will want to prepare this 3-4 hours in advance. The punch is a clear purple color (easier to see in a clear glass) and is a refreshing, fruity, lemonade flavor!
